After the gesture expires

After the gesture expires is a continuation of the story behind Spineless, a queer retelling of the myth of Eurydice, in which the main affective relation happens between Eurydice and the snake that bites her. It will be published in the upcoming publication LIKE, a collection of texts on fantasy, desire, attachment, liking and fandom.

In this text, there’s a snake swimming slowly through a pool. Greek marble sculptures line each side of the pool. She looks at them and recognises herself and an old lover in one of the sculptures.
