Softcore reading
Softcore Reading is a fortnightly research group, led by Violeta Paez Armando and Al Primrose, looking for alternative ways to produce and share knowledge through generative, curious conversations around different topics. It’s a warm, informal, interdisciplinary space that embraces sharing lived experiences as much as formalised discourses as valid forms of knowledge production.
We meet every two weeks to discuss a particular topic, taking as a starting point a ‘reading’ list that we present, often consisting of small essays, artworks, short fragments of theory, interviews, films, memes and tweets. Some of the previous sessions have been about parasites, working out, making lists, haunting, nightclubs and being tired.
